About
Ok, so….there’s a bit of a history.
Personal History
I’ve *cough* just said goodbye to my 30s, and have a wonderful husband (Ed), and daughter (RoÃsÃn). Our extended family includes 2 cats, and a dog. As for my online shennanigans, I started playing online ‘way back in the day’ (as us old folks say), with a few MUDs and MUSHs (MHS and CDI/Elendor, to be precise). Games, essentially, lead to my employment.
Yes, it’s true. If you start doing geeky things, you will eventually get a geeky job, and a (thankfully!) geeky paycheck.
Fast forward, and a few dot-bombs later…and back to history. Currently, I live in NoCal, having been transported from NY. Loving it out here, and after 6 years….I wouldn’t trade it for the world. If I want snow, I can Tivo it. Seriously. California is great, and while I see alot of Californians lauding the praises of NYC, and the area…I have a just one thing to say…
Try…living there..
Gaming History
My first MMORPG (in a sense) was Meridian, but…since I didn’t have a credit card, I was stuck with the text-based games. Eventually, I grew up, and started playing AO on release….and from there, EQ, then DAOC, Horizons,Planetside,EO,FFXI, back to AO, WoW, Guild Wars, and then…WoW again.
It kinda sucks, doesn’t it?:)
RIP: WoW characters
- Bed (Alleria)/Ximmise (Hellscream) - 70 Human Warlock
- Peekahboo (Alleria)/Zomgpeeka (Hellscream) - 70 Gnome Mage
- Eilidh (Alleria)/Reizunpai (Hellscream)- 70 NE Druid
- Erzulie (Uther) -70 UD Horde Priest
I was playing EVE and Tabula Rasa for a while, then Age of Conan. But…whilst a great concept, and visually stunning, the content itself was so unfinished, and reminded me greatly of Horizons release.
I am currently spending my time on both the good and bad sides of Warhammer
Employment
I’ve just been laid off and am between jobs. If anyone is interested in a Program Manager/Unix Administrator/NOC SE, I’m your gal:)
